| Gap Creek Christian Church stands firmly on the princples of the Restoration Movement, also known as the Stone-Campbell Movement. We are an independent Christian Church whose leadership and members believe in the Lordship of Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His death, burial, and resurrection for the sins of the world. We practice weekly communion and baptism by immersion for the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit. We recognize God's work throughout the world and therefore recognize that we are Christians only and not the only Christians. We claim no creed but Christ, and Him crucified for the sins of the world. We are an independent, non-denominational, church whose decisions and methods of practice are based entirely on scripture. We have no national governing body making decisions on our behalf. |
