Carlos and Carol FieldsCarlos and Carol Fields (Carol Fields pictured with Dr. David Eubanks)
Following their graduation from Johnson Bible College, Carlos and Carol Fields labored together for almost 36 years in the preaching ministry and in new church evangelism. In 1971, following ministries in Virginia and Tennessee, they accepted the role of starting new churches and strengthening struggling churches for the Smoky Mountain Christian Men’s Fellowship. His evangelist fervor motivated Carlos to make many short term mission trips to preach in India, Mexico, Portugal, Australia, Haiti, Jamaica, and Cuba. Without a doubt it was a team effort. Carlos and Carol worked together in these labor intensive ministries in which Carol served as unofficial children’s minister and teacher, servant to the elderly, and congregational hostess. She was faithfully beside her husband’s bed during his long bout with cancer which took his life in 2000.
