Purpose
The purpose of the 2006 Unity Celebration was to bring together brothers and sisters in Christ who have been estranged for 100 years. The desire was to celebrate not only our common heritage, but more importantly our common faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Through our collective experience of worship, reading of Scripture, listening to encouraging presentations, hearing prayers of reconciliation, and the public extension of the "right hand of fellowship," we set out to honor God and keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.
