David was raised in parsonages in Tennessee, Illinois, and Ohio. He graduated from Johnson Bible College in 1973 and received his Master of Ministry degree in 1985. In 2005 he received his Master of Arts in Leadership from Kentucky Christian University.
David served in located ministries for 25 years as youth minister and senior minister.
In 1997, after 20 years of leadership at Converse (Indiana) Church of Christ, David moved to Knoxville to become professor and campus minister at Johnson Bible College. He also travels quite a bit, speaking at conventions, couple's retreats, and leadership conferences.
David is ridiculously in love with Cathy, his wife of 32 years. Now that their two daughters have "flown the coop," this cozy couple lives on the campus of JBC with Toya, The Wonder Dog.
More than anything else, David loves God. His top priority is to "love God and enjoy Him forever." |
