This 12,000-square-foot preaching center will be located in the center of campus to highlight the important role of preaching at JBC. It will include multi-media classrooms; practice preaching rooms equipped for video taping and replay; a chapel; a study and resource area with computers and an extensive array of preaching resources, and faculty offices. Construction is due to begin in the Fall of 2007.
At the 2007 Homecoming celebration, President David Eubanks announced that the new $2 million, state-of-the-art preaching center will be named in honor of Bob Russell.retired senior minister of the Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky—one of the ten largest churches in America.
Although not a Johnson Bible College alumnus, Bob Russell has spoken on JBC’s campus often, identifies with its historic purpose, and exemplifies the realization of that purpose. He does not fit the stereotype of the mega church CEO. He is best known as a preacher. His preaching, Bible based, relevantly applied, and persuasively delivered, has served as a model for hundreds of young preachers. - Dr. David Eubanks
Russell is retired from his position as the senior minister of the Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, Kentucky where he served for 40 years. During his tenure, Southeast grew to become one of the ten largest churches in America. Russell is nationally known and respected for his clear, biblical preaching.

| Johnson Bible College has been dedicated to the training of ministers for over 100 years, so to have their new preaching center bear my name is an incredible honor. It's my prayer that the new preaching center at Johnson will be an effective tool to help train hundreds of future students to, "Preach the Word in season and out of season.“ |
