From the time of its founding, Johnson’s curriculum has joined a strong Bible major with a solid core of general education courses. While we maintain a strong emphasis on preaching, we have expanded our educational programs to meet a variety of student interests and ministry needs. We have a teacher education program that has been on the cutting edge of educational technology and field education from its very beginning.

Recently we have experienced a wonderful surge of growth and expansion. In addition to recent building of two new dormitories, the fall semester of 2001 was the first use of the new Global•Education•Technology Building. This marvelous expansion program is transforming our campus and positioning us to prepare an increasing number of students for Kingdom service.

We have kept our student costs lower than any other private college in Tennessee and among the lowest in the nation to preserve our historic commitment to needy students, while we provide a faculty and facilities that compare favorably with larger, more costly institutions.

Johnson Bible College is more than just an institution of higher learning; it is a community, a family. Nearly all of our students live in residence halls, houses, mobile homes, or apartments on campus. Most faculty members and a high percentage of the staff reside in College housing. The organization and focus of life on campus represents a sincere attempt to meet and expand the intellectual, spiritual, physical, and social needs of our students.
