Sung in Latin, Gaudeamus has been the traditional college student song

words to verses two and three of the modern song, and Johannes Brahms
incorporated the music into his Academic Festival Overture, Opus 80. It
remains popular in academic ceremonies to this day. |

Chairman Ralph Sproles:
This moment is historic, the 115th year of the College: the installation of the sixth
president during the lifetime of the preceding president.
We know of the history of this revered institution, we have received the greetings
from many of our constituents, we have heard from the Word of God, which stands
as the foundation of our education, we have prayed for God’s ongoing presence in this
work. I am therefore prepared to hear the affirmations of the College community.
As members of the Board of Trustees, charged with the governance of Johnson Bible
College, what is your response?
Board of Trustees:
We pledge to support and pray for President Weedman as he carries out his duties as
president of the College.
Chairman Ralph Sproles:

Faculty, Administrators, Staff, Alumni, and Students:
We pledge to support and pray for President Weedman as he carries out his duties as

president of the College.
Chairman Ralph Sproles:
With the full support of the Board of Trustees and with the affirmations of these
