A Word From the President
Let's face it. Your choice of a college is like purchasing ice cream-you have thirty-one flavors to choose from! You have a multitude of colleges and universities open to you. You can stay home and attend a local university or community college. You can go a day's drive away from home to a Christian college. You can travel half way across the United States to taste a new part of the culture of this county. You can go where your parents went, or where your high school classmates go.
I hope that some of you might try Johnson Bible College. You need to know something about our "flavor."
- Our purpose is to prepare men and women for leadership in some avenue of Christian service. Elsewhere on this web site you can find those specific vocational choices. They include preaching, youth ministry, teacher education, media, music, counseling, missions, and others.
- A unique part of our "flavor" is that we live in community: faculty, many staff, administrators, and most students live on campus. Our graduates never lose their taste for the community living they experienced here. We believe that developing character in community is an essential part of preparing to be leaders.
- We work at keeping our "product" reasonably priced. In fact, we don't want anyone to avoid trying us because of the cost. We work to accommodate students with various financial resources.
- The Bible forms the foundation of all our academic programs. We believe that a truly educated leader must have knowledge of the text of the Scriptures to be a Christian leader in the twenty-first century
- We have a strong general education program at the core of what we do. Just because we are called a "Bible" college does not mean that we study only that book. You'll learn from the arts and sciences just like your friends who attend public universities.
- We have a most modern, up-to-date campus including residence halls, dining facilities, high-tech classrooms, computing, and media access.
Try us; you may like us!
Cordially,
