We are excited that you have chosen to begin the application process
for enrollment in Johnson Bible College. Our goal is to
assist you with each step of the admissions process. For assistance,
contact the Admissions Office at 1-800-827-2122.
The admissions policy of Johnson Bible College makes it possible
to notify you of the admissions decision when all of your
academic records and references have been received and reviewed
by the admissions committee. Please be aware that the admissions
decision takes into account your commitment to the Johnson lifestyle,
application, high school/GED and/or college transcripts,
three references, and/or the American College Test (ACT)/Scholastic
Aptitude Test (SAT). The College Catalog gives specific
information regarding academic admission requirements.
|
| A completed admissions file contains the following: |
- Commitment to the Johnson Lifestyle.
Please read, complete, and return the Commitment to the Johnson Lifestyle
form.
|
- Enrollment Application and Fee
Fill out the application and pay a $35 application fee.
|
- Transcripts
The application process cannot be completed until official transcripts have been
received. To be official, transcripts must come directly from the high school
or college to the Admissions Office at JBC.
|
New Freshman (never previously attended college): Use
the Transcript Request Form to request your high school transcript be
sent to JBC. Students who have not completed high school, but have received
an equivalency diploma, may submit the GED scores in lieu of a high
school transcript.
|
Transfer Students: Use the Transcript Request Form
to request a transcript from your high school and from each college
previously attended. Students who have not completed high school, but
have received an equivalence diploma, may submit the GED scores in lieu
of a high school transcript.
The transcript request form may be duplicated as needed.
|
- Reference Forms
You must list three references on the application. They are: 1. your minister;
2. most recent employer (or church leader if not employed); 3. High school
teacher (or church leader if you have been out of high school more than five
years). Please use another church leader if one of the references is a relative.
Complete the top portion of each Applicant Reference Form. Then, give one form
to each one of your references, asking them to send their form to the address
provided at the bottom of the Reference Form.
|
- ACT/SAT Test
The American College (ACT) or the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is required
for admissions to Johnson Bible College, unless you have a bachelor's degree.
Check with your high school guidance counselor for a registration packet, test
dates and test sites. Try to take it as early as possible. If you are unable
to locate a registration packet, you may request one from the JBC Admissions
Office.
