Those wishing to pursue a special area of study other
than preaching or research can do so under the contract track. Those choosing the
contract track option will complete the core curriculum,
a related track of courses agreed upon by the student and the faculty, and a
project.

Contract
Courses
|
|
The courses totaling at least nine semester hours will be
transferred from a regionally or Association of Theological Schools accredited
institution. While very few accredited institutions offer entire degrees through
correspondence study (or distance learning), several do offer selected courses in this
way. Students studying in the Johnson Bible College distance learning program can
frequently find off campus courses to satisfy their personal needs and meet the elective
track requirement. The nine hours may be completed at another regionally and/or ATS
accredited college, university, or seminary as resident courses.

Project:
|
|
The project must be approved by the faculty and must integrate the
New Testament field and the field represented by the contract track. The project
usually consists of a formal thesis and an oral examination.
