Senior Sermons

Each senior who has taken a homiletics course is invited (though not required) to preach a sermon in the Johnson Bible College Chapel.  The sermon date and details are arranged through Dr. David Enyart.  Each student who decides to preach works with a JBC professor to receive feedback both before and after the sermon.  The student preacher can plan the entire worship service or simply focus on the sermon.  In this latter instance, the JBC music faculty arrange the rest of the worship service. 

Students are encouraged to preach a sermon which lifts up Christ and edifies those present.  In many instances, senior preachers will invite family and friends to be present for this special event.  While seniors are often a little apprehensive as the date for their senior sermon approaches, they also see this event as a wonderful opportunity to share their heart-felt convictions through the preached Word.
